Fn+F2 doesn't work. How to turn off wifi?

I have an ASUS X58Cseries laptop. I can turn off and on its wifi with the Fn+F2 keys in Windows. It doesn't work with Fedora. Is there any other way to do it?
(I found the Network manager, but it allows only to disconnect from a given wireless network. The laptop's wifi LED is still ON.) Please help. Thanks.

Same here with Asus X66IC-JX011V. I haven't really tried to find a solution yet, though.

The best solution I found is turning on and off the wifi in the BIOS settings. But the LED is always on.
