Network Connectivity drops out randonly

Hi, Installed Fedora 12 recently.

For some reason, my network connectivity drops out randomly. This has happened between 5 minutes to 1 hour of booting and logging into the machine.

When the internet does work, its great, and super fast !

When it drops out, Internet stops working, cannot ping to external site and I cannot ping my router 10.1.1.1

I have onboard realtek network ports on my motherboard.

Any suggestions?

Yeap, i cannot test this but this problem is weird!

Hmmm I see. Does it help to make an address static? Currently for me its 10.1.1.3 , static it up? And looking at code below. What is virbr0? should it not say 10.1.1.1 - ip of my router?

Going to install NetworkManager 0.7.998 according to

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpo...5&postcount=12

However, when configure the downloaded package -

configure: error: wireless-tools library and development headers >= 28pre9 not installed or not functional

Any Ideas?

Changed to 'vanilla' 2.6.32.4' kernel.
Testing, i hope this fixes it.

I think i managed to fix this
go to System >> Administration>> Network >> click the Wlan (your Wifi) hit the edit,
Go to tab Wireless Settings
Select Mode: Auto
Network name (SSID): Auto
Channel: Auto
Transmit Rate: don't let it on auto! Put 11M Click ok
Then exist network configuration and restart your computer

I know some of you will make fun of me, but it works for me!
I only have 11M but 11MB vs 0MB is better
Consider this a failsafe option and let's continue searching for a real fix!
Let me know if it worked for you.
