fresh fedora 12 install 293 updates how to go about?

I installed fedora 12 now the fourth time.
Each time I ruined it with the update. Too many errors, selinux denial, after update nautilus starts continuously and so on.
Right now I have a working system with all preferred applications running. However how do I install all the other updates in the correct order?

Thanks

I had update problems with my new F12 install, but was able to sort things thanks to a tip Leigh posted in another thread. If you haven't already tried it, run :
su
yum update
It will take a while, even with presto reducing the download size, but after running it subsequent updates have gone smoothly.
Hope this helps.

Thanks
I'll try that

I thought yum update and the update manager were more or less the same thing.

all software is up to date.

before I always used yum update because I did not notice the software update function.
this time I new too much and still not enough.

In past releases (f10 & f11) I found it easy to get a lot of incomplete transactions as I might be on for minutes at a time. Next time you find yourself in that hell try this; jump to terminal and do a 'yum update,' it'll kick back if there's any incomplete tranactions and instruct you to do a 'yum-complete-tranactions' first.
