This is one option: http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Main_Page but don't expect it to be what you're used to. As you know, IE is for Windows and ONLY for Windows. I'd explore other options, such as Opera, if you're not satisfied with Firefox.

Try
Code:
su
yum install wine cabextract
exit
cd ~
tar zxvf ies4linux-latest.tar.gz
cd ies4linux-*
./ies4linux
http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Main_Page
P.S why don't you use Firefox instead as IE is Windows crap and wont work properly in Linux.

One has to ask WHY???
There are so many better web browsers than Internet Explorer. Opera is my favorite. I like SeaMonkey as well. Firefox is a favorite of many. Some even use Chrome. Then there is Epiphany, Konqueror, Midori, and others I don't even know the name of...

Internet Explorer is the worst browser ever - there are many better alternatives like firefox, opera, ...
Or do you *need* the Internet Explorer for something special? Something, that firefox cannot do?

(Methinks he may have installed the KDE version of Fedora and is using Konqueror, which is one step below IE. )

The icons under his username show he is using Fedora and Firefox.
If mrinthebug is having problems with his browser, maybe he should post what the problem is. There may be a simple solution for it - other than replacing the browser.
Sorry for my rant on IE. I just see it as a good virus installer for Windows. I almost never use it for that reason alone.

I'm 1/2 with David on this one except if you don't already know why then you likely won't understand. Personally I use it because I'm stuck working with activex & ms java vm (yeah it's still out there, just not in the wild). Either ie4linux or winetricks are what you're after. But you've been warned, don't use it for daily needs.

Seems that there are still pages that only work with IE. I remember stopping use of some credit card or another due to that.

There may be several reasons for using IE in linux: for testing (web developers), for browsing specific sites, which support only IE, for example http://consultant.ru (a base of russian laws).

I run across sites that want IE sometimes, though thankfully that is getting less frequent.
Regardless of the system, I always install Firefox because it has the 2nd largest market share of browsers thus is the 2nd most supported browser on average. I do run into sites that are "IE or Firefox".
My current Linux system is running Fedora 12 KDE, but I make sure Firefox is there in case Konquerer is not supported or does not render the page properly. Even on my Windows systems, Firefox is my most common default browser.
I know I am typing this in Opera, but I do find some pages are rendered slightly different here and sometimes have to copy-paste the URL into Firefox because it just doesn't work with Opera.

2nd?
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
Firefox 46.4%
Exploder 13.5+12.8+10.9=37.2%
Last I checked, 46.4>37.2, which puts Firefox in the #1 spot.

mrinthe bug,
Noticed thats your first post, so Welcome to Fedora Forum!
Let me know how that IE browser turns out. I never used it myself.
Keep in mind, Windows programs don't run in Linux, just a different OS somewhat like UNIX.
That would require you to install the wine package to run some Windows program with Linux.
Leigh mentioned the wine package in the earlier posts.
Cheers

Description: While Wine is usually thought of as a Windows(TM) emulator, the Wine
: developers would prefer that users thought of Wine as a Windows
: compatibility layer for UNIX. This package includes a program loader,
: which allows unmodified Windows 3.x/9x/NT binaries to run on x86 and x86_64
: Unixes. Wine does not require MS Windows, but it can use native system
: .dll files if they are available.
:
: In Fedora wine is a meta-package which will install everything needed for wine
: to work smoothly. Smaller setups can be achieved by installing some of the
: wine-* sub packages.

I remembered a few years ago when I had my CapitalOne credit card, wouldn't let me pay it online, the others would, I had 7 credit cards then. Later on it lets me. I no longer have that credit card.
I pay all my bills online with Linux and Firefox, why? Secured just as good as Windows/ZoneAlarm. The only bill I can't pay would be the water bill, that needs a check to be written.
Cheers
