zip and split

Hello.

excuse my bad english (i speak frensh).

My problem is :

i save the directory of all the users in my office. I execute a bash script who save user by user with zip.
But i have some zip files of 9Go. I cant unzip the totality of this files.

I try split and zipsplit but i dont know how to use corectly this commandes with the good options to optain
zip files under 4Go.

Someone have an idea to solve that ?

use a different compression program? gzip or bzip2?

7za from the p7zip package might unzip the large zip files
