not able to bring fedora 9 UP

i am running fedora 9 fine from so many months, I don't know what happened today when i booted the box.
i was not able to get the login screen, i see the mouse cursor then the screen goes blank and again i
see the mouse cursor, this repeats; first i tried pressing ctl-c,ctl-d then some python trace back got
displayed on the screen. snippet of trace was simliar to this.

.....
analyze.py line 399,
__init__.py ....

by pressing ctl+alt+F5 i changed the inittabe default runlevel from 5 to 3, after i did this change
i could boot the system at all.during the bootup it is sending TERM signals to all ther processes
and halting the system.

What to do now ?

thanks
sinbad

are there any uitilities to read ext4 filesystem from windows.
I hope fedora 9 has ext4 filesystem, i tried so many tools like ext2fs, ext2fsd,
none of these seem to support ext4 filesystem.
