Question how do I join a Win2k Active Directory?

I have just recently started using Fedora, beginning the other day with FC2. I see that great progress has been made in allowing Linux to interoperate with windows networks and that has me pretty excited!

I've always been able to mount windows shares and such, but the prospect of authenticating against active directory and being able to browse servers/printers through the file managers is very interesting to me!

This is on a work network with many hundreds of PCs, servers and printers throughout the world. In my facility I have a local active directory domain controller, and we use one domain that holds all of our systems and accounts. What would I need to setup so that I could log into X(KDE) using my current windows network password and be able to seamlessly browse computers I have access to without having to manually supply passwords all the time? I tried to do a few things when the system first loaded and it asked me how I wanted to authenticate. I chose winbind and smb, however I don't think I filled everything out properly since I was not able to login with my network password. Also I did see a list of computers once in Nautilus, so I must have done at least one thing right. That did not work in KDE though because it says LISA isn't working or installed.

Thanks,

Jim
