ms usb mouse - go figure?

pretty innocuous piece of hardware, but vital (except I have my laptop wireless usb mouse around)

I can not read the small print label very well but maybe X80089B? Don't go by that for sure though.

Brand new desktop PC, fc10(x86_64)

Anyhow, did not work during entire install or post-install.

but laptop wireless usb mouse works plugged into same port right off the bat.

possible mouse could be defective, but that would be a first for me.

will try on another machine - there, worked (odd, it is a fc10 64-bit install also)

but on the desktop pc it never worked. light never even came on under the mouse.

maybe I am missing an update or something?

er, never mind, simply plugging it back in this time made it work. the fit was a bit snug, must have not been plugged in well enough the first time, just hit the panic button because it made the install such a pain.
