repo problem

hello,

i wanted to install xspim on fedora 9 and i saw there a cbi tools thing that i thought will add xspim stuff to yum so that i can get all the updates automatically. (see here http://www.cs.wisc.edu/cbi/downloads/ )

now after i did rpm -Uvh ..... cbi-tools.rpm and a yum ....cbi-tools.rpm I manage to destroy my paths and i got this message:

Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: cbi-tools. Please verify its path and try again

Afterwards I read around to solve the problem and tried these commands ...

yum clean all
yum clean metadata
yum clean dbcache
(i did not restart after these)
they did not work

and

yum clean all
yum makecache
yum update
(restarted but nothing good happened)

what can I do to fix my add/remove software tool (so that i continue to get updates for everything automatically) and to be able to add xspim to it so that i can get the updates automatically for it as well?

thank you in advance!
