export DISPLAY on Fedora 9

Hi all,
i installed Fedora 9 and when i ssh remotely and try
export DISPLAY=0:0.0
xwininfo -root

i now get 'unable to open display' error. Is there a setting that i am missing?

Did you try "ssh -X"?

Is Fedora the client or the server?

ssh -X does not change anything ... Fedora is running X server

Have you edited /etc/ssh/sshd_config to allow X11 fowarding ?
