General Announcement to all forum members:
General Announcement to all forum members:
Some of you may have noticed that Seve hasn't been on this week. Those of us on the staff certainly did as our work load increased dramatically, and we were hotly accusing him of heading off on holiday with a beer and a blonde.
That was not the case.
Yesterday we recieved word that our own Seve has been struck by a massive heart attack. He survived the infarction and surgery as well and is back on the mend. We have been in contact with him and his spirits seem good. He will be back with us in a while, but the recovery process will take a bit.
Of the whole experience, Seve has simply said, "I don't recommend it!"
So, I am opening this thread as a kind of electronic community "Get well soon!" card for a damn good man who has always given us his very best.
P.S. Keep it clean folks. I suspect once he gets well enough to get back on line, this will get shown to his family and some of his close (nurse type) friends at the hospital.

I've certainly seen lots of his post and learnt a good deal from them.
If good wishes can ensure a speedy recovery I'm sure he'll be back in harness very quickly.

wow. I am glad everything turned out well. I think my own heart missed a beat or two when I read this, I am still too shocked to really say anything. I hope you are back with us soon.

Hey Seve - I know you'll spring back like a springbock in a few weeks. Till then, listen to the doctors and take it easy.
best wishes,
-Steve

I'm very sad to hear this, I really wish Seve well and hope he will make a full recovery. I once exchanged a few pm's with him, and he demonstrated what a great guy he is, a genuinely nice person. It's a shame when the good guys have this kind of thing happen to them.
Get well soon Seve, you are certainly missed on these boards.

Like many, I have benefitted from Seve's posts and general good humor.
Seve when you see this, all the best, and we miss you.

I've heard they don't mind that too much pete_1967. It shows the patients are getting better and having other things on their minds!

Better listen to the lady, Seve. I hear getting "granny-whacked" is serious business! <.. ..>
