Unhappy D-Link DFE-520TX PCI Adapter

hi friends,
i m using fedora 8 with GNOME desktop environment. I got D-Link DFE-520TX fast eithernet card 10/100 Mbps. I have dual bood system. default is windows xp professional. I have succefully intall my this card on windows xp and can run LAN with my laptop that has also windows xp professional. my second OS on desktop is fedora 8 and I am very new this OS, as I had learned bit of SCO UNIX in past.

I have extract the folder in fedora my software folder and give the command "make" as instruction but nothing work. I go many errors that I can write here too. Is there any body who know how to install this adapter driver on fedora 8. would you please give describe step by step?

I guess there is no rpm install for the needed drivers?

Hi if you are trying to compile something then you will need to do first

su
yum -y install gcc kernel-devel-$(uname -r)
that should be enough to compile most programs

However i would of thought the ethernet card to have worked have you tried running NetworkManger
