It's your call there really. I did an upgrade, and everything went off without a hitch, but of course your mileage may vary(wildly).

This question has been asked numerous times the last couple weeks, not to mention the notes on the fedora faq page. Fedora recommends a clean install and as a long time Fedora user I can say that is sound advice. Upgrades are possible but be aware that you will probably encounter some hurdles requiring you to do some searching for answers. Considering that you chose to post this question rather than try to inform yourself with the available material I would guess this might be a bit much for you. If I seem rude to you I apologize, but this is a sample of the type of responses you are likely to get when posting all the problems you are going to encounter with the upgrade. I sincerely recommend a clean install. I hope you enjoy F8 as much as I have, it is gold for some of us and very buggy for others. You may even consider dual booting with that F7 install for a while, at the least be prepared to put F7 back on. You never know.

I made yum upgrade, fist download DVD.iso and create local repos with DVD.iso

rpm -ivh fedora-relese-8.3*.rpm
rpm -ivh livan-relese8*.rpm

enable livna &local repos and run
yum upgrade

you will get list of offending packages ,manually remove or replace the offending packages.

and once again run
yum upgrade
if dependencies are OK
you can upgrade from FC7 to FC8
