Can't get video to work from the livecd. Seems to load all the drivers correctly, just a black screen. This is using an ati card with the lcd using ADC. The setup works well on gentoo with the radeon driver. I can use CTRL-ALT-F? to switch to a console. From there I could at least determine that the drivers were loaded.
The autoconfiguration of the network fails. Using route I see that the gateway is '*' instead of an IP address. I can't even ping the router that assigns the dhcp address. Adding a valid 'route add default gw x.x.x.x' fixes that, but should never
be necessary when using dhcp. Oddly, the nameserver is set correctly in resolv.conf. I would guess that failure with X comes before networking setup is complete.
As an aside I could not get any of the x86 liveCDs to work in vmware or qemu. Has anyone else had issues with those?
