Updates killed Nvidia

Hello all, I really hope you can help me :/

I have FC7 with the 2.6.22 kernel and the ck1 patch.

I had the propietary Nvidia drivers installed and working wonderfully with all accelerations and glx and whatnot. I could play games!

Just this morning I decided to update with Software Updater and after I restarted my glx wouldn't work!

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, reconfiguring xorg.conf and using a slew of nvidia .rpm's but glx refuses to load. I know it's not loading because in xorg.0.log it says it failed loading glx.

I also tried loading the extensions libglx and nvidia-glx but to no avail.

Any ideas?

I have a 7900gs (621/1800mhz) PCI-e 16x 256mb GDDR3

I have been trying the newest drivers available which are the 100.14.19. I had these drivers working before the update.

Where would the log be to see what the update did?

have a look at /etc/X11/xorg.conf
------ just a part of the file ----------

Section "Module"
Load "dbe"
Load "extmod"
Load "type1"
Load "freetype"
Load "glx"
Load "record"
Load "vnc"
EndSection

--------------
and see what is being loaded
also compare it to xorg.conf.backup-nvidia and xorg.conf.backup in the same folder
also check
Applications/System Tools/NVIDIA X Server Settings

Before I only had extmod and glx loading. the backups match it. If there's a glx module where should it be? I think it's just missing altogether for some reason.

i take it that you installing nvidia's ,from there web site [ driver name].run and not the kmod_nvidia package from livna
is this in your xorg.conf
-----
Section "Files"

ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
EndSection

and run
Applications/System Tools/NVIDIA X Server Settings tool to config and SAVE the settings
