Help to verify a bug exists.

Hi Feds,

I filed a bug # 241949
It is about the first run of makewhatis in the first cron job (which was a weekly) reported by the root email (alias change to my email)

It seg faulted on zcat

The email is only the one line.

Did anyone see this email when the cron weekly ran after an fresh install?

The reason I'm asking is the data collection the fixer wants is rather extreme in the it fills up the mailbox in a few days (because the script is used for daily also).

I would like to know that someone else is getting the bug before I (yet again) mod the file and let it create 100's MB of data for nothing.)

Please check you root email from the sendmail and look for weekly cron.

And let me know soon.

thanks,

SJ

EDIT: the orginal root e-mail actually say this:
sh: line 1: 8158 Segmentation fault zcat
"/usr/share/man/man3/mkfifoat.3.gz" 2> /dev/null
