i have burn the file but, when i check the cd it says it failed the media check test, due to a corrupt download or a bad disc, i downloaded the 64 bit version from redhat website, and my cds are brand new so what could be the problem, can if i install anyway will the system work fine or it will have problems?

I never bother with the media check as it sometimes wrong , if it fails the media check it doesn't mean it wont install so give it a go anyway.

The media check problem can be caused by burning the disk to fast, is it all the disks?

yes, all the disks have the same error, test failed. so if it doesn't affect the system at all then i will go ahead and install i guess.

You should check the "sha1sum" of the downloaded iso's first before burning them to disc. That will tell you if the iso is good and not corrupted before burning the image to a disc. That method works for me and it will give you confidence knowing that your downloaded file is not corrupted.

If you are using Nero/Windows you should download and use ImgBurn to burn your iso to disc, in Windows it works well and you just right click on the iso and choose ImgBurn put in a blank disc and burn.

Here are a couple of links, one to SlavaSoft for a sha1sum utility and the other to ImgBurn.
