Dual core and FEMLAB / COMSOL Multiphycis

Hi!

I'm a newbie regarding this issue but I'll try to explain my problem anyway.

I have installed FC 6 - 64 bit version (with default settings) and I have installed all the updates afterwards. I have also installed a license of FEMLAB / COMSOL Multiphysics version 3.3 (64-bit version). My machine is Dell Precision 690 with a dual core Xenon processor and 4GB RAM. Everythings works fine but...

I can not get COMSOL to use both cores. When I look at the system monitor the sum of CPU 1 and CPU 2 are ~105%, which I think means that 100% goes to COMSOL Multiphysics and the rest 5% is used by the OS. How can one get COMSOL Multiphysics to use both cores?

I have tried with the start option "./comsol -np 2" (np = number of processors to use), but with no success. I have also set the environment variable calle OMP_NUM_THREADS to 2. But with no success. When I did the same settings on a standard WinXP Pro SP2 the CPU monitor went 100% on both cores. In the simulation I use PARDISO, which is a parallell solver recommended by COMSOL for this type of simulation.

Have anyone had any problems like this with COMSOL or FEMLAB?

Please dont hesitate to ask if you wonder anything regarding my setup.

Any idea would be gratefully appreciated.
Regards,
Mattias
