Installing the JMICRON driver for a SATA AHCI disk

Hi,

I have already installed FC6 on some disk on my machine.

I would like to use a new disk which I have connected as AHCI SATA to a JMICRON controller on my mother board.

I have downloaded the driver for FC6 from JMICRON web site.

I have found lots of docs/tutorials on how to add the driver at installation time, but none regarding installing the driver after all is installed.

I strongly suppose that I have to modify my initrd image file (mount it, , ... and re-create it).

I am very uneased about doing that.

Is there somewhere a tuto that clearly state how to do that?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Code:
PS: the JMICRON driver is named: fc6-368.img
And file fc6-368.img give the following output:

fc6-368.img: Linux rev 1.0 ext2 filesystem data (mounted or unclean)
