gnome pissing me off: wont open .m3u with my default app

im moving from kde to gnome due to its beauty

using nautilus to browse my files, when i double click one .m3u file, the application i have selected as the
default isnt opening it. i have set it manually by right-clicking it in the tab "open with" but it still doesnt works.

where can i set one app as the default app for that kind of file ? *.m3u ?
somewhere else, cause it is not working when i right-click on it and setting at the "open with" tab...

and i am also want to know where can i set konqueror as my default file browser on gnome.

System->Preferences->More Preferences->Prefered Applications

i have only the option to change the internet browser, default e-mail app and default terminal.
