Question xorg prob.

hey guys.. i guess i hav done somethin wid my xorg.conf file.. tryin to get the right resolution..

i hav changed the resolution,, but i guess its gone way beyond my monitor limit... so wen i start fc6.. it starts n all.. but wen the loading page comes, my monitor goes off..sayin tht the res is beyond limit.. therefore i cant evn get it back to normal..

can i edit the xorg.conf in recsue mode.. or ne other mode?? pls lemme kno how..

Hello:
You can boot from your FC install disc and undo the changes you made ....when it boots select F5
then type linux rescue
follow along with the on-screen instructions (no need for network)
at the last prompt:
type
chroot /mnt/sysimage
then type
vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf
use your cursor to move around and type i to insert [edit] and make your changes. If you cannot recall what you changed in the modes then comment out the line with ##
When you are finished hit your esc key then SHIFT zz to save and write the changes.
type exit and reboot
