Fedora Core 6 Dual Boot and XP

I have tried to install Fedora Core 6 and XP on the same machine unsuccessfully. Which should I install first and how?

I am very excited about using Fedora Core 6, but it is completely foreign to me.

I would really appreciate some help.

Thank you

Here is what I did.
1. Boot FC6 CD-ROM to partition drive.
Strategy: 1st partition for XP, 2nd for /, 3rd for /home, 4th for swap 5th for shared vfat
2. Boot WinXP CD-ROM and nstall on first partition
3. Boot FC6 CD-ROM and install (with layout as described in 1)
