How do I install packages from the FC5 DVD/CDs?

I am using FC5 right now. I don't have FC6 yet coz I'm on a slow internet connection.

I want to know: How do I install packages from the FC5 DVD?

Pirut always tends to go online but I have not been able to configure internet in FC5 yet.
And I want to install certain packages off the FC5 DVD. Is it possible?

I tried this guide here but it doesn't work.
http://fedoranews.org/cms/node/1055

My internet connection seems to work only in Windows. To set it up in FC5, I need to install the Linc rpm in FC5.
http://linc.sourceforge.net/

But Linc wants certain libraries which are on the FC5 DVD I assume.

Plz let me know how I can use my FC5 DVD to install packages instead of the Internet.

im pretty sure you can do it through add/remove programs, but i never took the time to learn how. just mount the dvd and grab the rpms you need. there all right on there. i believe they are in fedora-> rpms

Mount the DVD start a terminal window and drill down the DVD DIRECTORIES to Fedora/RPMS. The command
Code:
rpm -ivh neededfile.rpm
will install what you want. If it comes back that there is a missing dependency that is another rpm file IN THE DIRECTORY use the up arrow to the previous command and chain the dependency rpm with the first one by adding it to the end of the command following a blank.
