I am rather new to Linux but really like its versatility. One thing I miss (I could do it in WindowsXP) is monitor the log of my Linksys router. My Fedore Core 1 is a FULL package. I installed and upgraded all available packages. I did this so I hopefully would not have a problem with compiling anything. Anyway, Linksysmon installed perfectly. The install document was easy to follow. But, when I went to look at /var/log/linksys.log it reported the following "Parse error: >Warning: -P option is deprecated; use -f -Le instead<. I figured out that it was talking about a changed option in snmptrapd and tried changing -P to -f -Le and also just -Le in the Linksysmon program. Either way I get no entries in linksys.log. By the way I also tried disabling the Fedora firewall.
Help! Going down for the 3rd time
