which version of linux

Hi.
I am new to linux, but i have done some linux installation llike pcq linux and debian. but i have not mastered the configuration part. as such i want to learn more about linux, thus why not starting with fedora. well my problem is i am downloading an iso file which goes like this, FC-5-X86 64-DVD.iso. i have an amd athlon 64 3500+ with 1gig of ram. i wanted to know if i am downloadin the right version?.

Any help would be very nice.

The x86-64 version is ONLY for AMD 64 bit processors. If you don't have a 64 bit processor, download the i386 version.

It's ALSO for Intel 64 bit (EM64T).
