xdtv - video not taking up whole window

When I open xdtv (I use 1280 x 1024), the picture within the window does not take up the whole of the xdtv window even in fullscreen. So if I maximise the window, the tv display will be in the middle and they will be a larger black order around the view.

How do I get the tv to take up the whole window. As in tvtime?
