GRUB crash?

I just had Grub hang or crash on me. I let it sit for a good 30 seconds with nothing but a cursor that had jumped down a line (as it normally does). A simple reboot from the display manager login screen was all the preceeded it. That and an "ifdown" command as part fo somethign unreleated I was doing. I have been unable to repeat the problem, not that there is much repeatable about it. I amconcerend, because this system is my fileserver, and I have to rely on it being absoloutley stable (will host almost a TB of data)
