pppd not updating /etc/resolv.conf

I have been successful at getting my Sprint EVDO card working under Linux. It logs in. It connects. It gets an IP. It sets up the defaul route. Technically, it works. But it doesn't do the resolv.conf thing. When I do it manually, DNS lookups work just fine.

Any idea what might be preventing this from happening?
