Unhappy acpi problems

Hi guys,

I have acer tm 4152 nlci. I installed FC5. First if it detects my hdd as hdc and i cant enable DMA (common prob) Another thing is my acpi is not enabled in kde control centre the helper says the file is bigger than it should be and stuff.

Any ideas on how i can enable dma and acpi?
btw my chipset in Intel 915. Th dma error shows HDIO something permsiion denied

TIA
Ajay
