Wrong file association

I recently install Realplayer 10 to play realaudio files. However, Realplayer has become associated with plain text files, so when I double click on plain text files, Realplayer tries to open the file (and fails). How do I re-associate plain text files with gedit?

In KDE you can go into Control Center > KDE Components > File Associations and change it there. In Gnome, you can right-click on the file and 'open with' and there should be an option to make it default.

I have the solution. Simple. right click-properties-open with-text editor.

Yes, you've got it. I suppose I wasn't clear in my post. Sorry.
