Hostname

Hi all. Whenever I'm in a terminal, my prompt reads this way:
glenn@dhcppc1 ~]$

On another box it reads:
egon@dhcppc3 ~]$

On yet another box it reads:
george@dhcppc7 ~]$

What is dhcppc1/3/7 ?
Why are they different on the different computers?

When you don't set a hostname, it automatically gets one from DNS. So that hostname you see is what you get when you do a reverse DNS lookup on your IP address.
