    Fedora 9 2.6.26 kernels doesn't boot

On my rig - P4 3.2 (IBM intellistation M) the 2.6.26 kernels doesn't boot. It just stops at the text 'Booting kernel'.

The kernel for F10 beta works (2.6.27...) and all F9 kernels before 2.6.26-3.

    Anyone knows what's going on?

chage boot arguments to "vga=791" and take a screen shot by your digital cam.

No need for a screen shot - only text:

    Decompressing Linux... Parsing ELF... done.
    Booting the kernel.
    Then nothing happens.

when i had similar problem, first things what i tried is build git kernel version + fedora config.

to do that, boot to previous kernel version and type:

    git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-2.6.26.y.git
    cd linux-*
    make xconfig
    # then in load config menu choise, /boot/config-2.6.26.[your version], then:
    make
    make modules_install
    make install

and try to boot with git kernel. after it we can post bug report to kernel.org
