    add this

    #! /bin/bash
    LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1 fusion-icon

Then save and exit gedit , then you need make the script executable

    Code:
    chmod +x /home/max/.fusion-icon-start
    Then add fusion-icon to session

    Code:
    gnome-session-properties
    In the name box put

    fusion-icon

    In the command box put

    /home/max/.fusion-icon-start

    P.S

    Code:

or may i install both and only after decide which one to use (as it is said dome topics before)?
which one would you install beryl or compiz-fusion?
    thank you a lot guys
    Hello,

I answer too late since I've seen that you have install compiz-fusion.

But y can still install compiz-fusion with my script:
    Code:
    wget http://nicofo.tuxfamily.org/scripts/xgl/installXGL_EN
    sh installXGL_EN -cb
REM: it automates the steps you have followed to install compiz repo + compiz paquages for gnome or kde depending on your desktop
REM2: it doesn't install XGL !! => you can use this script with the option "-cb" without worrying of xgl !
REM3: it proposes also to you to install compiz-fusion (instead of compiz) / beryl / compiz (instead of compiz-fusion)
REM4: to remove compiz-fusion and or beryl, use "sh installXGL_EN -rcb" instead

NOTE: compiz-fusion and beryl ARE compatible ! BUT NOT EMERALD ! (i.e the emerald installed with compiz-fusion will NOT work with beryl and vice-versa). That's not really a problem since you can choose another window-decorator instead.
example: you have installed compiz-fusion and want to use beryl: choose "heliodor" as window decorator (from the beryl red icon).

If you want to run compiz-fusion automatically at your session startup, you can also try my other script: (see here (Fr) )
    Code:
    wget http://nicofo.tuxfamily.org/scripts/demarrage3D.tar.gz
    tar -xzf demarrage3D.tar.gz
    ./installDemarrage3D
Now restart just your gnome or kde session ==> that's it: compiz-fusion is running ;-)

    In the command box put

    Quote:

    Sorry for this,
I need to ask why after installing fusion-compiz
xine doesn't work properly: while seeing the moving the image flashes (it seems like it is not synchronize , don't know how to explain well)
but before installing fusion it used to work fine.

Should I need to disable fusion to use xine?
    In this case how?

    sorry
I tried to understand the reason for this but no success...
    thank you

    Try

    gedit /home/max/.xine/config

and change the video driver from "auto" to "xvmc" ( see the highlighted text ) ( don't paste & copy from here as I have had to remove half the file so it was small enough to post )

it seems it hasn't change (may be it happens less often the effect but it is still affected by this effect)
I noticed that this time this effect did't start at the beginning with the movie, but when I use the right click to
see the xine display option in order to put the full screen, the option menu creates problem with the video image:
they interfere (it is like the video and the menu go one below the other in sequence).
Then the effect I told before start appearing during the video reproduction.

I also noticed that after that I change auto -> xvmc then I execute xine and I noticed all that I have explained above. then I looked into the file where I changed the configuration and I found that the
changes has changed again to auto.
I re changed to control that I had saved before but the same thing happened

    Thank you.
