F16 Nvidia & Gnome 3

Hi all,

i have recently installed fedora 16 on my PC, upon install i had issues with the live cd booting so has to use basic video which gave me the "somnething went wrong gnome 3 failed to load" assuming this was due to using basic video after the install was complete and updated and installed the Nvidia drivers for my 570 as per leigh123linux's guide in the guides and solutions section using akmod including PAE, i re-booted in the hopes of being presented with the gnome 3 desktop with the mac like expose but to no avail, i assume the driver has installed correcly but as the below shows the driver seems to be "vesa" if i am reading this right.

# rpm -qa *\nvidia\* *\kernel\*|sort;uname -r;lsmod |grep -e nvidia -e nouveau;cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf

abrt-addon-kerneloops-2.0.7-2.fc16.i686
akmod-nvidia-290.10-1.fc16.4.i686
kernel-3.1.0-7.fc16.i686

nvidia-settings-1.0-13.fc16.i686
nvidia-xconfig-1.0-11.fc16.i686
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-290.10-1.fc16.i686
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-290.10-1.fc16.i686
3.2.6-3.fc16.i686
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "vesa"
EndSection

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
