I found the experimental nouveau 3d support quite adequate.
yum install mesa-dri-drivers-experimental

No hacking needed.

Hi,

Does anybody know if it's at all possible to independently run the Mediacheck that you get when booting from an install disc?

If not, then what process is it using (so I can duplicate it)....

I had run yum from the command line several times but not spotted the difference in version. Word blindness I guess.

Quick update,

I found the reason - I had conflicting versions of dejavu on the system. using rpm -e I got rid of the conflicting versions, and now the update works fine.
