Performing a YUM update on 03/14/06 throw's the following error.

Error: Missing Dependency: libopal_linux_x86_r.so.2.1 is needed by package ekiga
Error: Missing Dependency: libpt_linux_x86_r.so.1.9.3 is needed by package ekiga

Thanks ...

Working today (3/15/06)! If this failed for you yesterday "yum clean all" to delete cache.

un-tick the following packages:

opal
(hmmm - can't remember the other one - began pwsomething though)

That should let you update the rest.

Once you've done that, however, those packages are NOT in the list to be updated. At least that's how it was on mine. Strange.

Cheers

Yum tries to update opal and pwlib, but current ekiga needs a previous version of the both.
Just avoid to update opal and pwlib until ekiga is rebuilt against them, most likely this issue will be solved with the next rawhide update.

Mine "yum update" doesn't find any new packages ("yum clean all" doesn't help). When I execute a "yum list" the new packages are clearly there.
yumex and pirut both find all the new packages (and I get the mentioned dependency error). What's wrong with the simple "yum update" command?
