I want to test LIRC in FC5, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to set it up. I've googled for any instructions, but alll the ones I've found so far assume access to kernel drivers which I cannot find in any Fedora rpm. I tried downloading the SRPM and there are drivers in there, but they are not built even when I pass a "--with modules" parameter as mentioned at one site.
If anyone has successfully set this up please let me know. My goal is to get my T42p laptop to recognize commands from a remote. The laptop comes with IR port that appears as a serial port.
