ok i got the nvidia drivers to install... and xcompmgr is working.. BUT how the heck do i enable multiple screens?? I have never had any problems getting xinnerama to work from FC2-4 but for some reason FC5 does not like me to have 3 screens
the display GUI does nothing
manually editing xorg.conf causes "cannot read memory" errors
question is this.. has anyone got xinerama to work in FC5 test 3 yet?

FINALLY i am able to get proper xinerama working after bouncing from init 3 and init 5 and editing xorg.conf a million times..
the issue was my ati card, for some reason the new xorg does not use drivers called: ati or r128 anymore for the generic ati drivers, i dont know what it wants to use for ati cards so im down one screen, but at least i know what it was that caused the errors.
time to buy another nvidia card, or figure out what xorg wants to use for ati cards

FC5 Test 2 , I configured the card like this :
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "ati"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage II+ 215GTB [Mach64 GTB]"
EndSection

yeah and thats how i have been using my 3rd card for ages now, but for some reason FC5t3 will not load X if i set the driver to "ati" or to "r128" interstingly enough the system->administration->hardware app asys its using aty128fb and i can load X with it set to that but nothing will display on that screen
