Is any possibility that the release version of fedora core 5 support XGL. I hear that the Xair ( accelerate indirect glx) is in dev, but after I try, it's seems slow and no more cool effect than compiz, the virtue is no need of proprietary driver from ATI or nvidia.
Another thing is enable DRI means enable 3D accelerate ? I know that no proprietary driver for Fedora Core 5, so the only thing is waiting.

Too late in the development cycle to introduce and test major features. However you can check out the experimental bling repository

DRI is Direct Rendering Infrastructure. It doesnt necessarily require proprietary drivers.
