Hi,

When I tried to start tvtime, I got following error message:

Running tvtime 1.0.1.
Reading configuration from /etc/tvtime/tvtime.xml
Reading configuration from /home/xxxx/.tvtime/tvtime.xml
xvoutput: No XVIDEO port found which supports YUY2 images.

*** tvtime requires hardware YUY2 overlay support from your video card
*** driver. If you are using an older NVIDIA card (TNT2), then
*** this capability is only available with their binary drivers.
*** For some ATI cards, this feature may be found in the experimental
*** GATOS drivers: http://gatos.souceforge.net/
*** If unsure, please check with your distribution to see if your
*** X driver supports hardware overlay surfaces.

I got following with lspci:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family Graphics Controller (rev 04)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82915G Express Chipset Family Graphics Controller (rev 04)

Would you help me to solve this problem?

Hi,

It seems that there is nobody will help me about this problem :( Or everybody is so busy with other important things :)

Sincerely

This might be a driver issue as mentioned in error message (lacks YUY2 support or is it supposed to be YUV2)... I'm quite unfamiliar with Intel graphics controllers anyways...
Have you tried to search other drivers?

I get this same error after moving from FC3 to FC5. xawtv and tvtime used to work pretty well with the old drivers and now all I have are video problems. Perhaps I should just reinstall FC3?? :(
