Looking for recommendations for a PCI wireless card (11g for preference) that'll work out the box with FC4 please. I'm sick of pissing about with 3rd party software, want something that'll be picked up by anaconda and installed and configured automatically. I'm in Ireland, which may be a consideration.

Prism chipset based cards such as Orinoco are known to work out of the box for wireless B on Fedora Core 4. For wireless G you will probably have to go the ndiswrapper or madwifi route. I had good sucess with an onboard Broadcom chipset and ndiswrapper. See this article (http://stanton-finley.net/HP_Pavilion_ZE2108WM.html) for details. (In fact this is the fastest wifi connection I have ever had and rivals my direct ethernet connection.)

Take a look at http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz

Gives a good list of Linux wireless cards.

I just got the dlink dwl g510 card (Atheros Chipset) working with mode g. I DID have to download the madwifi drivers, but it was an easy install following the directions at http://www.wirelessdefence.org/Contents/WirelessBuildHowto.htm. The card was a refurbished from tigerdirect for $19.
