Ok so I've got 2 computers. My old one will not boot from cd whereas My new one will. Can I install a version of fedora core to the HDD of the old one using the new one to allow my to boot from CD. IF this is possible what is the best version of Fedora Core to run on a P3 700 mhz w/ 191 mb of RAM and a 8 GB HDD?

I'm not worried about anything on this old computer and I can afford to lose all data on the HDD. it works fine w/ Win98 but I'm trying to to a compleate overhaul of the system. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can swap hard drives around after the install, just be sure to run the kudzu hardware detection.

Just get the latest Fedora Core release, 4 right now.

That's enough RAM to run a full desktop like Gnome or KDE, but if you run many more apps it isn't going to go very fast.

Thanks. But if FC4 will work than I'll probly run FC3 being as I only have 64 Bit copies of 4 and Ive got a 32 bit version of 3 (dont think there is a 64bit version out) and it will not use up too much of the limited system resources.
