View Full Version : Problems with Linuxant modem driver

I got the modem to work, but there are still some problems.

1) I sometimes get "Modem is busy" after disconnecting and trying to connect again. I have to reboot the computer to fix it. I've tried to rmmod the hsf modules, but it gets stuck at either hsfpcibasic2 or hsfserial, saying the module is in use. I sent an email off to Linuxant and they said to try the 16k stack kernel and driver. I downloaded and installed those but it has the same problem.

2) In the last day or two KPPP says the modem doesn't respond after a reboot. If I start up minicom and let it initialize the modem then KPPP will work.

3) If I dial from minicom it always connects at 38400. From KPPP it always connects at 31200. I duplicated the AT initialization string from minicom in KPPP but that didn't change anything.

Any help would be appreciated.
