when I first installed FC1 it allowed the non-root user to boot automatically ..no log in or password was required...now after running update...with different kernal it requires the user to login and enter password...I have gone in the admin management and selected "passwordless" login for user...but it is still requiring me to login with user and password....anyone have a solution for this...?

Did you change the login screen in system settings to automatically log in to user after a certain time/automatically log in?

I did see that....that just might be a work around for this problem...I just dont understand why the passwordless login won't work anymore...it did originally...
thanks for your reply

You will find that many updated programs do not retain user settings and revert to the default. This is one reson for backing up before you make any changes to your system. You will also find that programs updated with up2date often do not change settings and will with other methods.
