Hello. I'm hoping someone can help me here. I am using a 3ware RAID controller and FC4. I've got the controller to work AOK with the "builtin" Fedora drivers, but I can't find how i can tell if the RAID set is operating nominally, or if a drive has failed etc. Are there any log messages? Can email notifications be set up?
I had a look on the 3ware support pages, and it seems they have a beta drive for the card, which i could compile. This seems to have good diagnostics tools and email notifications etc. However, the build steps require me to stop the fedora drivers from being loaded. I can't figure out how to do this either - I'm a Linux newbie. Also, does any one know if I swap drivers, will this cause the RAID card to reinitialize the set, thereby losing any data on the RAID? (I have all the data backed up at the moment - it is just a bit of a drag to re-install it all!)
Thanks - any help much appreciated!
