View Full Version : Why all the locked forums? Just because they're older doesn't mean they aren't useful

Googling my problem with XMMS brought me to this thread (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=54534) which had good suggestions, but the problem had never been resolved.

Following the suggestions in the thread, I was able to fix the problem, and I would like to post an update to help others, and maybe even the OP.

However, it seems like every forum you have here is locked from further posting. I don't get the point of this, because the information is still valuable, and as in this case, some of it could use an update.

By the way, my XMMS problem was solved when I changed the Buffer Time in the ALSA plugin configuration to match the one in asound.conf and unchecking the Mmap mode box.

Perhaps cause of the date... more than one year...
Just open a new post and paste your answer...
Just my suggestion... ;)

Because it is a test version. And the bug should be fixed by the time the version becomes final.
