yes, this is the problem with these "mainly text" logos, they end up all looking the same, especially when you use the popular font of the week.

i don't like the new logo personally, bring back the blue hat!

The blue hat was never official. However, I never saw what was wrong with the blue 'F' that was used. Why didn't they just use that instead of the red hat logo? It fit in nicely with Bluecurve. Perhaps, I just answered my own question.....I think they are trying to move away from Bluecurve.

That's Red Hat's brand. Basically so it could be different from RHEL. http://www.redhat.com/magazine/014dec05/features/fedora/

As for the similarity to Bahamas, I'm not worried. Fedora has a big F inside. Although the round bubbles are similar to that site and the F looks vaguely like Macromedia's Flash logo, combined they are the Fedora logo, entirely different in my opinion.

I'm not too phased at the logo - as long as the distro works well that is all that matters :) It's not so bad although I must admit - I preferred the old one. But I'm not gonna slit my wrists about it. Perhaps redhat should have a logo design contest - although I'm not sure they could squeeze that in before the launch date.
