Hi Guys

Hopefully I can get some help, I have not been able to use FC5 since the kernel was updated past 2.6.14-1.1719_FC5

I get:

Starting Udev

And then nothing!

Every kernel after this I havent been able to use T2. Hoping that T2 would fix it I installed it hoping for the best, but still the same issue.

Anyone else had the same issue?

(Yes I have reported it on the Test-List and DaveJ is aware of it but never seems to have any ideas on it, pics of the Test1 crash available)

My system is Sony Vaio VGN-S3HP:

(Centrino) Pentium M 1.6Ghz
60Gb Fujitsu SATA Drive
No Floppy Drive
Nvidia GF 6200 T/C

Kindest regards,

Same trouble with a VGN FS285H. The boot is possible whith the kernel parameter acpi=off but that's no way to initialize the ipw2200 firmware!

Just dump the 2.4 Firmware into "/lib/firmware" it should work fine, I have been doing that since FC3.

That's what I did (thanks to the ipw2200 firmware rpm from Livna). But the ipw2200 can't be initialized (it worked fine in FC4), for the ACPI is turned off....

Same trouble with a VGN-FS115M and FC5.

The boot is only possible with vanilla kernel 2.6.15.6. I 've also tried with the latest 2.6.16.1 but I still get udev timeouts...
