What ports does Yum use...

I'm using a host that is running fedora core 2, I'm trying to use yum and for some reason it keeps timing out.

By default they have these ports open on their firewall to my server:

22 (SSH)
80 (HTTP)
443 (HTTPS)
3389 (RDP)
5900 (VNC)
8443 (Plesk)

Does yum use any other ports that I don't know about?

Are you behind a proxy or something?

Destination(Server) port is HTTP.
see /etc/yum.repos.d/* files.

I think you are sitting behind a proxy..
If so, then
simply..
>export http_proxy=proxyaddress : portno
and then provide
>yum -y update

I think this can solve your problem..
