I am having problems booting my new compiled kernel. I have looked it up on
the net and it says I have to pass nosmp to the kernel. How do I do
this???? I am using grub.
thanks

While the grub splash screen is displayed highlight the Linux kernel you
want to modify and press the 'e' key. Highlight the line at starts with
'kernel /vmlinuz' and press the 'e' key again. At the end of the line add
a space followed by 'nosmp' without the quotes.
